1 hour class Boys- Coach Lambert and Girls- Mrs. Ehlers They will watch a video from Proctor and Gamble entitled “Always Changing” They will discuss the basics of puberty and what to expect with their bodies as they enter into the first stage of puberty. Hygiene is a BIG section. Any questions that they have that fall into the beginning stages of puberty we will address but they might have questions that we will redirect to parents. A PERMISSION slip will come home 3 weeks prior to the class. ALL STUDETNS MUST RETURN THE SLIP.  Hands on labs  Scientific Method and Lab Procedure and Safety  Life: microorganisms, cells, genetics, and the five major kingdoms with an emphasis on the classification of plants and animals.  Earth: changes in the Earth’s surface, focusing on constructive and destructive forces.  Physical: investigate matter, stressing the difference between physical and chemical changes as well as investigating the relationship between magnetism and electricity.  Health: explore the effects of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol on the human body. Students will also learn how to properly maintain a physically and mentally healthy lifestyle. 
