5 Tickets Students earn tickets for doing the right. On Tuesdays, it is two ticket Tuesday! Once a week, we will host ticket drawings where students can choose to add as many tickets to the pot for a particular item of interest. In addition, students can cash in tickets for privileges.

Agenda used for Homework & School/ Class reminders Can be used for parent/teacher communication Some students may have to get signed daily Tuesday Folder should be signed and returned EVERY Wednesday Parents should review/return and remove papers each week

9 GRADING = A 89 – 80 = B 79 – 74 = C 73 – 70 = D 69 or below = F Please note: Homework is NOT graded.

10 GRADING Online Grade Book (ParentVue and StudentVue)
If you do not have access yet, the form will be sent home on Tuesday in the Tuesday folder. The form needs to be brought back and have identification checked. You can download the ParentVue App on your phone or tablet.

11 Homework/Class Work Homework is provided as practice for skills taught. Classwork may become homework if not completed. Note home, call, or may come from student or teacher if unfinished classwork or incomplete homework becomes a pattern. PLEASE NOTE: 50 minutes maximum on homework If your child cannot complete in this timeframe, write a note to us in your child’s agenda.

Cost of Field trip is $135/student and $120/chaperone - Transportation on coach bus - Lodging and 4 meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, & lunch) - Classes/activities - Chaperones – order in which full payment is received Payment Schedule: - September 22nd: $30 per student and chaperone - October 27th: $30 per student and chaperone - November 30th: $30 per student and chaperone - December 20th: The balance of each student and chaperone Fundraisers: - August 12th: Carwash - 10:00-2:00 - September 16th: Carwash - 10:00-2:00 - October 2nd-6th: Themed Dress Up Week - October 6th: Fall Festival - TBD

18 Total Eclipse August 21st
- CCSD is allowing for 3rd – 5th to view the Total Eclipse live All 3rd-5th graders at school MUST have a permission form signed in order to be allowed to view the eclipse All other grade levels will be able to watch the eclipse streamed live - Blackwell has ordered eclipse glasses for all students - All students watching live, MUST wear glasses the entire time - Students will be dismissed 45 minutes later - If you are picking up your student early, pickups MUST be made before 2:00

19 Transportation For any bus changes (riding a different bus), we must have the change on the CCSD transportation change form. Form can be accessed through the Blackwell website. Transportation changes must be made in writing with a note from a parent. No s or faxes. The note must include: The date the note was written The date of the change A signature

20 Blackwell wants YOU to save your box tops!
Blackwell wants YOU to save your box tops! Please collect, cut out, and turn in your box tops to Mrs. Spence in the gym. Grade levels are in a competition to see who can bring in the most box tops. In addition, students who bring in 100 box tops or more will be invited to a breakfast party at the end of the school year. Box top money is used to purchase new PE equipment.
