DISCUSSION IN ITALIAN ABOUT THE NUMBER OF CONTINENTS

CONTINENTS AND OCEANS A continent is a very large mass of land. An ocean is a very large mass of water Now we’re going to play a game….. Children throw the ball eache other and they have to say the name of a continent or of an ocean accordingly to the order given by the leader. We do all together sheet 1(continents and oceans) at the blackboard

Sheet 1 CONTINENTS AND OCEANS

STEP 2 Find on the globe famous cities and monuments through games, i.e. put the monuments in the correct position on the map. Find the original countries of the foreign students

Spot check (sheet 2)

Step 3 Europe Group work observing the map of Europe to look for the countries of origin of the foreign students. Naming of the countries. Group work at the whiteboard (sheet 3: Map of Europe). Testing through game: identify countries and capital cities. Which country(sheet 4)

STEP 4 Next steps involves the study of the climate, the study of Italy, Great Britain, London… trying to keep the contact with other disciplines
