Learning Outcomes Pertemuan ke-2 (Power Point 2.2) Pada akhir pertemuan ke-2, diharapkan mahasiswa akan mampu : mendefinisikan istilah ‘tourist’ dan ‘tourism’ (TIK 1) mengklasifikasi international visitors (TIK 2) membedakan berbagai macam tourism demand (TIK 3) menunjukkan beragam motivasi dari tourist yang melakukan perjalanan (TIK 4)

(Power Point 2.3) Tourist vs. Tourism Tourist : one who travels for a period of 24 hours or more in a country other than that in which he normally resides (Holloway, 1989) Tourism : temporary movement of people to destinations outside their normal places of work and residence, the activities undertaken during their stay in those destinations, and the facilities created to cater to their needs (Mathieson and Wall, 1981)

(Power Point 2.4) Definition of ‘Tourism’ (by WTO) Those activities deployed by people during the course of their journey and their stay in the place situated outside of their usual environment, for a continuous period of less than one year, for leisure or business purposes or other reasons.
