 As the theme was time we decided to create an app which helped us in keeping time management consistent however, with a twist. You have your daily routine to go about by know you may forget along the way, our app is designed to give you reminders about what you need to do but it will also speak to you so you will never forget. Our app will even give you two chances to keep on track with your chosen task before it turns the screen blank and lets you know that ‘YOU GOT CLOCKED’.

 We wanted to keep it very bright and more fun compared to other time managing apps we saw such as ‘Sleep Time’  We used a website to create a different style logo. We used a website called ‘Cool Text’ which gave us an advantage of choosing various type of different fonts and colours which therefore led us to the ending of this font and logo.  We also used Photoshop a lot during this project as it helped us to add to removed parts from different images to create a better looking app.

 We did a lot of research for the project and looked at many different apps to compare and contrast to our own project  We looked at apps such as – Wake and Shake, an app which is similar to ours, e.g. having different alarm sounds you can choose from.  While researching we found time managing apps were very simple and they were very easy to function. However colours used are very simple and not very vibrant.  We used bright, bold colours such as blue and green.

 As we had so many different sounds to make it more entertaining  We decided our target audience would be for teens and young adults  Our app has various sound which some people may find to be ‘ghetto’. Even still this was our idea to do so.  We wanted our app to be quirky and entertaining to listen to.

 Our theme for this project was time  At first we found it different as we had various different ideas and concepts  We wanted to first create an app which could be similar to a blog post app  We therefore went against this idea to create an app to challenge ourselves more  We all had different ideas so we used three of the main ideas and used this within our app.

 We made this app by using app furnace however we did create a template first to get an idea of what we wanted to have.  We used other software applications such as ‘Audition’ we used this to edit our sounds which was added to each icon we created  Use also used a Samsung tablet to create and design icons for each activity done within the day.  To record our sound we also used a Tascam so we could have clear recordings in the end.

 We had a lot of problems along the way while creating this app. We had difficulties using the software itself as it was very tedious to use. We had difficulties at first even creating an alarm clock as we didn’t know to get it working on the app itself. We also didn’t understand how to layout the app to make it more simple for audiences to use. However even will all the problems we still had some of the main features we wanted to add. Such as sound and icons which we drew ourselves. The main feature we like the most is our icon as we worked very hard in creating something which looks appealing.
