Agriscience and Technology

What is 8 th grade agriculture about? Developing Leadership Skills Identifying Career Opportunities in Agriculture Introducing Supervised Agricultural Experience Exploring Natural Resources Understanding International Agriculture Hand Tools and Agricultural Power Equipment Exploring Food Science Issues

What is expected of you?? Students should be to class on time and ready to work everyday. Students will show respect for classmates, teachers and school property at all times in the agriculture shop and classroom. Students are responsible for making up missed work after an absence. Students will wear safety glasses at all times when working in the shop area. Students will learn and carefully follow safety procedures at all times when working in the shop.

Class Rules: 1.Come prepared for class. 2.Raise your hand for permission to speak. 3.Do not leave the classroom without permission. 4.Be in your seat when class begins. 5.Be respectful to others.

If you choose to break a rule: 1. Name on board. Warning. 2. Check next to name. Call to parents/ guardians. 3. Time out. Parent / guardian notification. 4. Time out again. Parent / guardian notification. 5. Referral to Office.
