traditional recipe – 4 cups flour – 2 tablespoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon salt – ½ cup shortening – 1 cup warm water Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Pat them out into circles about the size of a pancake. Fry in hot oil until brown and bubbles appear on the dough and on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve hot!
