A film director directs films. A film director visualizes the script, controlling a film's artistic and dramatic aspects, while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of his or her vision. There are different functions entrusted to film directors depending on the type of production a producer is involved in. A producer typically manages and oversees the project from start to finish, in some cases producers may also be entrusted with acquiring the funds required for producing a movie as well. They are involved in set design, script layout, editing, post production, and are typically the back ups of film directors in some cases. They are required to have a working knowledge of all activities related with film making. In short they are the Managers.
