Prepare to Read Text Features: Captions p On p. 19, who is in the photo? How does the caption help you understand what he is doing?

Revising What are the steps in the writing process? Prewriting, drafting, revising Revising is to make changes that will make the writing clearer to the reader. Writers need to:  Add details to make ideas clearer and more interesting.  Delete details and ideas that are unimportant or do not belong.  Replace dull words with more interesting ones.  Rearrange sentences and sentence parts so the order makes sense.

Revising Revise the paragraph: Put together a kit with food and water for three days. Pack some extra clothes, a radio that runs on batteries, and a flashlite. Plan for your pets. find out where a public shelter was if you have to leave your home?
