“A model student is expected to… be present at school each and everyday attend class as scheduled arrive at school on time demonstrate appropriate behavior and a readiness to learn.”

Based on School Board Rule, 6Gx13-5A-1.041, a teacher is expected to: take and record attendance for students enrolled in each class. Record and reflect excused and unexcused absences/tardies upon request of the student/parent/guardian provide make-up assignments for excused tardies Make recommendations to the Attendance Review Committee regarding quarterly, semester and/or final grades when the student has accumulated five (5) un excused absences in a designated grading period or semester course.

 On the of school, the method of collecting the Official Daily School Attendance (ODSA) through Electronic Gradebook MUST be followed.  Your Gradebook is a “legal document” that is required by law.  Emphasis is on FIRST DAY ACCURACY CONSISTENCY RECORDING!

 2 grades per week for Reading & Math  1 grade per week for Science, Social Studies, Writing and all other subjects  Interim Reports  Grade Verification Report for end-of-the-grading period  Administration and Parents can view

 It’s your responsibility to maintain your Electronic Gradebook  Jobs may depend on your accuracy, consistency and recording of your Official Daily Attendance Procedures(ODAP)  Submit your attendance by 9 am  No student admitted after 9 without a pass  Maintain a hardcover roster and an updated every two weeks
