Based on School Board Rule, 6Gx13-5A-1.041, a teacher is expected to: take and record attendance for students enrolled in each class. Record and reflect excused and unexcused absences/tardies upon request of the student/parent/guardian provide make-up assignments for excused tardies Make recommendations to the Attendance Review Committee regarding quarterly, semester and/or final grades when the student has accumulated five (5) un excused absences in a designated grading period or semester course.
On the of school, the method of collecting the Official Daily School Attendance (ODSA) through Electronic Gradebook MUST be followed. Your Gradebook is a “legal document” that is required by law. Emphasis is on FIRST DAY ACCURACY CONSISTENCY RECORDING!
