Get involved with your student’s school activities. Research shows there is a correlation between student involvement in school activities, organizations, and events and their academic success. PTA Booster Clubs Volunteer Programs Teachers & Staff Attend an Event PARENTS: GET INVOLVED

Review class and school standards with your student and reinforce them at home. Know where your student is at all times and know their friends. Homework is a High School expectation. Your Child should have minutes of homework per class per night. Question excuses that just don’t make sense. PARENTS: BE AWARE

A “second chance” on tests or other assignments (not guaranteed) Make sure make-up work is completed and turned in (do it even if it’s late!) Call and teachers with questions and concerns Be aware of the add/drop timelines for course placement (15 days after the start of each semester) Attend school every day! –Do not schedule vacations in the middle of the year –No More Than 10! (Just as employees cannot miss more than a set number of days, students are also held to high standards.) CLASSES
