The Executive Branch can negotiate and sign treaties. The president appoints important jobs like the judges for the Judicial Branch. Including the members of the armed forces, the Executive Branch Employs more than four million people. The Executive Branch has sole authority and responsibility for the daily administration for the state bureaucracy. Powers of the Executive Branch

The President is the foreign minister and is in charge of overseeing state ambassadors and determining foreign policy. If there is a vacancy in the vice presidency, the President can nominate one. More Powers of the Executive Branch

Checks and balances

They are protesting because they want President Mubarak to resign immediately. He said he is going to resign at the end of his term this year. They have already used forceful methods on the protestors. They have used tear gas and other things like that. At some points it has gotten into a huge fist fight between the protestors and the solders. People would gather around in Cairo and protest for days which eventually led up to 2 weeks. It has taken Egypt 3 decades to overturn their government. The military in Egypt has been trying to calm down protestors but it is no use. People have even been fighting with their own government. After a while their leader had to eventually step down. Current Event: Egyptian rioting
