A4e National Employer Solutions Putting the right people at the heart of your business

About A4e A4e is a leading public service provider, serving thousands of people across three continents – Europe, Australasia and Asia. A4e’s core mission is to improve people’s lives. We work in partnership with governments, public sector organisations, private sector companies, voluntary and community groups to deliver a range of front line public services, including employment and welfare, training, education and money and legal advice. Putting the right people at the heart of your business

A4e In the UK We operate across: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland 200 offices 3,300 committed and expert staff. Since December 2005, A4e has operated more than 500 contracts for over 80 funding or awarding bodies. Each of these individual contracts is governed by different processes and procedures, including funding allocations, training qualifications, ways for engaging with customers and performance measures.

Launched in 2011 by current coalition government A4e secured five Work Programme Prime Contracts Five Sub-Contracts, Working in 10 of the 18 geographies covered. Currently, every seven minutes of every working day someone on benefits goes back to work through A4e’s delivery of the Work Programme, which started in the Summer of For every £1 spent by the Government on our Work Programme services, we deliver £1.95 in revenue to the taxpayer Work Programme

National Employer Solutions A4e understands the importance of working in partnership with employers in order to help our customers into work.  NES Established over 2 years ago  Sustainability - Relationships and Jobs  Identify needs of the employer  Identify skills gaps  Work with over 200 National Employers  Building long term relationships  Designing Solutions specific to each employer

Prime Provider - LONDON As one of the prime providers in London A4e has built up relationships with a host of employers who have significant recruitment requirements and introduced them to the benefits of the work programme including: A huge pool of untapped talent Motivated individuals Pre Employment training including SIA/BICS Qualifications Cost Neutral end to end recruitment service Over 10 branches

Vacancy Management Solutions With over 200 branches in the UK, it is often difficult for employers to build national relationships so A4 has created a one stop shop for recruiting employers who have requirements across the country, so employers only have to build and maintain one relationship EmployerVMSScotlandWalesEnglandLondon

Case Study – A4e working in partnership with

Our National Employer Solutions team started working with Securitas to really understand how their business was structured and what their recruitment challenges were, then we set about building a solution that works for them: Securitas are an international company who specialise in Security Services with a significant operation in the UK Recruitment to support their contract commitments is expensive and time consuming Ongoing requirement to search for new talent to work in the Security Industry Security Industry Authority Legislation – requirement for all new staff to be qualified and background checked to SIA standard

The Solution – A4e work programme offices to work with their customers to identify those that were interested in working in the security Industry A4e would screen customers based on the SIA guidelines A4e would run pre employment training with these customers to help them achieve the required SIA qualification The customer would then attend a pre employment routeway designed with Securitas to help customers fully understand the role to which they were applying and the company they will be working with Recruiting Managers across the UK can place their vacancies with our VMS service Work programme offices would match their customers to the most suitable Securitas vacancy

Many work programme customers have little or no experience in the Security Industry (with no possibility of obtaining experience) Due to the strong relationship between A4e and Securitas we have been able to gain a greater understanding of the challenges around working in the Security industry  Employers struggle to gain access to funding to help with skills training  Job Seekers struggle to gain access to experience due to the rules around SIA Licensing A4e and Securitas have pulled together to find a solution - A4e will access funding to provide SIA training and Securitas will consider candidates with little or no experience providing each customer attends the specifically designed Securitas Routeway training. A WIN WIN WIN.. Bridging the Skills Gap
