There are five different groups of animals with vertebrates. Mammals Reptiles Fish Amphibians Birds

The golden Eagle and Pelican are both birds.

Brown Pelican His bill has adapted. He has a big pouch that acts like a net to hold fish. He can let the extra water out and then he has a delicious meal.

Brown Pelican The brown pelican has webbed feet so that he can swim faster to catch fish. His coloring is brown, white, and tan and that helps camouflage him from predators by helping him blend into his surroundings.

Brown Pelican The Brown Pelican has big wings to fly. The wings of a brown pelican are strong to allow him to soar high above water so he can spot fish. Then he pulls his wings in to glide into the water.

Brown Pelican The Brown Pelican has feathers that are waterproof so it can help keep his body dry from the water.

Golden Eagle The Golden Eagle has golden brown feathers on its head. These feathers help it blend in to its surroundings.

Golden Eagle The Golden Eagle has razor sharp claws on his feet to catch prey. Their prey includes mice, foxes, young deer, and hares.

Golden Eagle The Golden Eagle's beak is made to tear apart large prey. His claws or talons are used for killing and carrying the prey

The Golden Eagle lives on a cliff so no animal can see them. He has keen eyesight and can spot his prey from one mile away.

The Golden Eagle has brown and gray feathers on its body to blend into the environment. This is a good camouflage for him.

Golden Eagle The Golden Eagle has 7,000 feathers to help keep his body warm. The feathers help the Golden Eagle soar high above its prey. He has a wing span of seven feet.
