Painting a Portrait Lesson 10: Hair and Facial Features

Connector: For positive points- Which table groups can work together to make skin tone-bring it to the front table! Skin tone needs the right balance of mixed colours: Lots of white Some yellow Little red Tiny amount of blue

Learning Outcomes ALL will paint the body and skin tone. MOST will paint the hair. SOME will start to paint the eyebrows, eyes, nose and lips.

BIG Picture Discussion on what order to paint a portrait. Demonstration: Student led demonstration on how to mix skin tone, hair colour and small details. Individual painting time on Julian Opie portraits. Review of Julian Opie portrait paintings.

I need to position my facial features more accurately.
