COLOUR PENCILS: How to use colour pencils ( =B634C2AF0BD94F8D&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=3) How could these different techniques be used in adding details to your shoe drawing?

6 Colour Stages-Colour Pencils
Softly use the side of your colour pencil to get the base colour of the shoe in. 2) Softly run 2 colours over the top of each other to blend them. 3) Use the tip of the colour pencil to colour near the edges of the outline for more control. 4) To create a lighter colour you can use less pressure on the colour pencil OR e.g. for a lighter green you can use more yellow than blue to lighten it. 5) To create a darker colour you can blend in black OR e.g. for a darker green you can use more blue than yellow to darken it. 6) Use the tip of the colour pencil to add in the markmaking and detail.

7 Drawing Mid Review-Peer Assess
Art Area Has it Been Met? Yes=2, Maybe=1, No=0 Target 1) Does the drawing fill the page? 2) Is the drawing neat, inside the lines without untidy marks from pressing down to hard on the pencil? 3) Are the features the correct size and shape? 4) Are the features in the correct place? 5) Have they added accurate markmaking and details to show texture and pattern? 6) Have they begun to add smoothly blended colour showing many levels of tone? TOTAL:

8 Review: Part Target 1 Give your partner a target from the below list.
Think about where they lost marks in your opinion. Explain the reason for this target to your partner. 1) Make sure drawing fills the page. 2) Don’t press down too hard on the pencil- it leaves dark untidy marks. 3) Make sure all drawing is the correct size and shape. 4) Make sure all shapes are in the correct place in the drawing. 5) Make sure all details, patterns and textures are accurate using markmaking. 6) Add smoothly blended colour showing at least 3 changes in tone.

10 Target 2- What would be a good 2nd target?
I need to.... improve the accuracy of my drawing. sketch my shoe softly so I can easily rub out any mistakes. include detail by using mark making to show pattern and texture. include 3 tones (dark medium and light). not rush my drawing to focus on quality. need to make my blending smoother by softly blending my colours. need to make my colour more accurate by using more than 2 colours to blend together to create a new colour.

11 Final personal review Points linking to levels… 12= 4C 5-6=2A
11= 3A =2B 9-10= 3B =2C 7-8= 3C Write done your level on the back of your work.
