Presentation transcript:

What is the Tough Mudder Tough Mudder is an endurance event series in which participants attempt 10 to 12- mile long military-style obstacle courses. Designed and created by British Special Forces to test physical strength, stamina, teamwork and mental grit. Known as the Toughest Event on the Planet the obstacles often play on common human fears, such as fire, water, electricity and heights. The main principle of the Tough Mudder revolves around teamwork. Participants must commit to helping others complete the course, putting teammates before themselves, and overcoming fears.

The experience of doing the tough mudder impacted me in the following way… Jim Crigler Formed a very special bond with my son. Went from a “good friends” association to a “BFF Mudder Friends”. Changed me physically….for the better and gave me a sense of “I can accomplish anything”! Raised money for a good cause!

The experience of doing the tough mudder impacted me in the following way… Jeremy Sisemore Accomplishment and pride in doing something that did more than I ever have for our country and way of life. Testing myself and pushing the limits both physically and mentally which helps adjust one’s attitude in terms of what is possible. Sense of community and team…it was truly great to hear the stories of wounded warriors and veterans from both Iraq/Afghanistan (post 9/11) as well as Vietnam era.

The experience of doing the tough mudder impacted me in the following way… Marianne Thai Motivation – No matter how old you are, you can do anything you put your mind to! Realization that people are genuinely kind. To be in the midst of hundreds of strangers who helped motivate each other and lend a helping hand was so awesome! Especially considering it was a competitive event. Beyond that, the instant comradery I felt from our team made me appreciate the fact that no matter who you are, we are all one when it comes to attaining a goal, which in this case, was to complete the Tough Mudder. No man left behind!! It really gave me a deeper appreciation of our military

The experience of doing the tough mudder impacted me in the following way… Rick Rush Sense of pride in helping our wounded veterans. Sense of team spirit and comradery. Sense of accomplishment.

The experience of doing the tough mudder impacted me in the following way… Veronica Ramirez The bond that I created with my team “sticking together” was significant. I realized how amazing and special they all are as loving people. The appreciation for our service members and their families grew and became more powerful. Hearing Crigler and the other service member speak was indescribable. Wow 25k, “shit fire” we raised a lot of money. Crigler’s son is a bad ass!!! Crigler produces good looking babies! Marianne is a tough cookie, Ask her about the funky monkey! Rick Rush runs like he is floating through air, Bruce is in really good shape and Jeremy is too! My guys Mark and Bob were awesome.

The experience of doing the tough mudder impacted me in the following way… Bruce Boatner I felt an unbelievable sense of pride, accomplishment and camaraderie after finishing the event. Participating in a Tough Mudder is something I will remember proudly for the rest of my life. Being part of Pinnacle gave me the courage and motivation to even attempt such a challenge. Many thanks to Veronica Ramirez for being the driving force behind the event.

Why do fundraising activities like this… Teamwork Giving backComradery You become physically fit

The Impact it makes… Team Pinnacle Raised $25,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project
