Destini’s Extraordinary Photoganza By: Destini Harrell May 1, A

By: Deanne Fitzmaurice The photo captures a touching moment of an injured boy without a hand trying to draw a photo of a plane dropping a bomb. The Rule of Thirds works well in this photo and the boy is clearly the center of interest which adds to the sympathy of the viewer. It also seems possible that this bomb in the picture was responsible for his injuries.

By: Don Bartletti This photo is truly spectacular. It shows a train stopped in some possibly remote area. The greenness of everything around the train, except for the home, makes its reddish color stand out. Also, the two people on the train add to the photo. It sort of evokes a sense of a quiet or isolated scene.

Framing The rolling Dora cart, the aisles, and the Dora poster all frame the man dressed in Dora gear.

Angle This is a bird’s eye view of the beach from the hotel I stayed in when I visited Myrtle Beach. The view captures the designs in the sand and the ocean.

Rule of Thirds The sunset follows the rule of thirds because when the lines are drawn, the intersection points land on the house and the sun.

Get the Shot Damaged and Distraught After breaking his favorite toy, Elijah collapses on the floor in tears. An avid fan of the Cars franchise, Elijah was upset and was later consoled with a brand new car. The photo shows the emotion, sadness, and the reaction, laying on the ground, of a little boy.

Center of Interest The frog is not only the center of the photo, but it is also the only subject as well. All attention is drawn to the frog.

Leading Lines Long Live the Music Queen Relaxing in front of the TV after a long day, Destini watches her favorite singer of all time, Mariah Carey, performing during a Thanksgiving special. “She slays. She slays. She slays!”, Destini commented. My legs are creating eye flow directly to the dominant subject, Mariah Carey.

Patterns The clouds are a pattern in themselves. With so many flat topped clouds, the taller, more dominant ones create a break in the uniform pattern.

“Macro” photo It’s not really a macro pic, but because of the failure of macro mode on my digital camera, here is a close-up of Steve Harvey’s face.
