IACC-ITS.PPT June 1, 2001 Benefits Derived in FY 00/01 n Wireless technology –Completed technology trial; doing pilot rollout in Library (Summer), UU (Fall) with notebooks for checkout. Defined support for mobile users will result based on pilot. n Digital Technologies –Available classroom and checkout inventory increased by 18% in FY –New Linux video streaming server allows users to post videos to the server from any location. (Need your help to ramp up this service!) n Mediated Classrooms –More courses, students, and faculty can use Smart Rooms –Added HVAC to Dexter Media Presentation Rooms; Bldg 20 and Bldg 10 by Fall
