Finally n Click next and you’re Finished... n with the Wizard.

Next n Normally, up pops the list of slides with everything on them. n You’re in Outline mode under View off the Main Menu n All those slides seen are the content suggested by the Wizard n You can change the wording, delete and add slides, etc.

Ran out of Slides? n Click on Insert on the main menu. n Click on New Slide n It’s added just behind the slide you are viewing. n It asks you to format the text boxes and high lights your current choice. n Choose and Okay.

Information Theory n Power Point is a useful tool for present thumbnail sketches. n Depth is provided by the speaker. n Your slides, therefore, are the springboard into your discussion.

Info. Theory Con’t n What to include on the slides are basically your speaking notes. n You’re the entertainment! You fill in the blanks. n Power Point forces you keep it simple by limiting the amount you can put on each slide.

Saving your Work n There’s the usual Save & Save As. n But Pack and Go is the way to go. n Click here and you can save your presentation to use on another computer. n Even one without PowerPoint on it! n It’ll create an executable on a floppy that you take with you.

Your Assignment is… n Design a Power Point presentation around a subject of your choice. n It should be a minimum of twelve slides long. n Post it on your web page for the Professor or others to view. n Submit a paper version for credit. Click on File, Print and change Print What to Handouts, 6 per page.

Thank You n This ends the presentation n Please Stand Up and applaud. n Throw money (Canadian accepted). n You have to tell them that it over. n They think that they are at a movie theatre and they are waiting for the credits.
