Genetics In your Activity Journal, answer the question: What do people mean when they say "Oh, it's Genetic?" (PS Please do not color on the large white paper at your table!)

Today's Agenda 1. Word Wall Activity Brainstorm what we will be learning about Genetics 2. Introduction to Genetics 3. Closing Activity: Questions in your Activity Journal: (1) Have you studied Genetics before? (2) As we brainstormed ideas today, what questions came to mind about genetics? (3) What is 1 thing you hope to learn in this unit? H/W: none today

Creating the Word Wall Directions: 1. Mrs. B will assign you to one of the four corners of the room. 2. Each corner has large paper, coloring utensils and is assigned a different topic 3. You have 3 minutes to brainstorm with your group all the words that come to mind for your topic 4. Write those words down neatly on your paper 5. After 3 minutes, Mrs. B will ask you to rotate CLOCKWISE to the next corner of the room. 6. You will have another 3 minutes to brainstorm for all corners.
