FAMILY LIFE IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Characterization of living in the Czech republic We would like to introduce you living in the Czech republic. Most people move into the town because of work, but there are still people, which prefer living in the village. In our country we have the different kinds of houses - we don‘t have a typical house. You can find there the new houses, the older historical houses, the blocks of flats…

The living in the town, the best! There you can see, how many people live in the village or in the town. Like it is obvious from the graph, most of our classmates live in the family house in the urban area. Are you interested, who prefers living in the city, town or village? This diagram will answer your questions. Most people in our class long for living in the town.

What do you prefer? Why is it better to live in the town? + There are more opportunities to get work, part-time job, study… +If you need the doctor, you don‘t have to go far. +There is more entertainment (cinema, theatre, shopping centres, sport clubs…) +If you need to buy something or go to school, you don‘t have to take the bus or go by car. Why is it better to live in the village? +There is less pollution (cleaner air). +If you want to keep the domestic animals, there are the better conditions than in town. +There it is not so noisy. +It is cheaper in village. +If you want to buy a parcel, it is easier and not so expensive to get one in village.

The historical house in the suburb So one of our classmates occupies the unique historical house. It was built many years ago, but it is still preserved. It is large, it has about 20 rooms. Since it is worth, many people interested in history can envy them their house, but there is the disadvantage that it must be all the time refurbished.

The family house by the centre The other classmate lives in the semi- detached house. It is situated in the urban area. You can find there plenty of houses like this one. It is near the centre, so it is advantageous, because he can get to school or square quickly. In front of the house there is a small garden.

Modern detached house Some people live in the modern large houses like this one in the residental area. It is a detached house with the separated garden. Since it is a building under the construction, it doesn‘t have to be renewed. The part of these houses often is the outdoors or indoors swimming pool. It has two floors and the nice view from the porch.

Still favourite blocks of flats There are many blocks of flats, where some of our classmates also live. These flats aren‘t demanding to upkeep, because there aren‘t many rooms and also garden. They usually have 2-4 rooms, but in the bigger cities there are situated some flats with more rooms. Most flats aren‘t much expensive, but in the centre of the big cities you might pay a lot of money.

The older house in the village Then we would like to mention living in the village. Don‘t look for the blocks of flats in the rural area, because it is typical only for the urban area. There you can find the older, ordinary houses with the large garden, sometimes connected with the farm. People usually keep there domestic animals.

New house in the village However, in the village there are also built the up to date houses, so you can see that the houses in the country also distinguish. There are a few houses in the village, so there is a lot of free parcel. These houses often have the swimming pool and a large garden.

The end… We hope you liked our presentation and you have got to know the living in our country.
