2 Advantages of living in the city
Both living in the city or in the country has its advantages and disadvantages. In a city it is easier to find a job, because there are a lot of job opportunities. There are also more shops and shopping centres than in the country. People can buy everything what they need.

3 Advantages of living in the city
There are many schools and free-time activities for children and many possibilities how to spend leisure time. Cultural life in the city is very rich, there are a lot of cinemas, theatres, concerts, sport events, shopping malls, restaurants, pubs and museums.

4 Disadvantages of living in the city
In a city most people live in flats and they have to pay rent. The air in the cities is polluted and there is noise and stress everywhere. Shops, streets and public transport are full of people.

5 Disadvantages of living in the city
There is heavy traffic and it is difficult to find a parking place, especially in the centre. In the evening and at night the streets are not safe, you can meet strange and dangerous people.

6 Living in the city In general, we can say that life in the city is comfortable, but it is also expensive and less healthy.

7 Advantages of living in the country
On the other hand, life in the country has also got its advantages and disadvantages. Most people have their own houses with large garden, they don’t have to pay rent. Some people grow fruit or vegetables.

8 Advantages of living in the country
Life in the country is safer and not so expensive as the life in the city. It is also quieter and in the country, there is no traffic, no noise, and air is much cleaner. People can relax, go to the forest and enjoy beautiful nature.

9 Disadvantages of living in the country
In the country it is difficult to find a good job and there is a problem with the public transport. It is sometimes difficult to get to school, hospital or shops. People need to have their own cars if they want to get somewhere very quickly.

10 Disadvantages of living in the country
In the village there are also problems with shops, we can usually buy only basic things. There are not many places where to go and what to do – there aren't any cinemas, theatres, clubs in the village.

11 Living in the village In general, we can say that life in the country is calmer, cheaper and healthier. But it can also be a bit boring and sometimes, especially in winter, it can be more difficult than in the city.

Examples of answers: I live in Pardubice, it is a city situated in the Pardubice Region. I live in the town Holice, situated in the Pardubice Region.

13 How big is it and how far is it to the nearest bigger town or city?
Examples of answers: The population of Pardubice is about 90,000 people and the city is situated 20 km far from Holice. The population of Holice is 6,500 people and it is situated about 20 km far from Pardubice.

14 Are there any interesting places in your place?
Examples of answers: There are many interesting places in Pardubice. The old town, the attractive historical center of Pardubice, became the urban historic reservation site. The dominant of the Perštýnské square is the Green Gate Tower.

15 Are there any interesting places in your place?
Examples of answers: The centre of Holice is the square of T.G. Masaryk with many shops, three banks, a parking place and a green area. In Holice we can find the Museum of Dr.Emil Holub, famous African traveller. Another sight in Holice is St. Martin´s Church.

16 Where would you take tourists in your region?
Examples of answers: In Pardubice region there are many places of interests, for example the castle Kunětická Hora or the castle in Litomyšl. Or people can visit some sports events as Great Pardubice Steeplechase, speedway race Golden Helmet at the stadium in Svitkov or hockey match in ČEZ Arena.

17 What opportunities for work are there in your place?
Examples of answers: In Pardubice there are many work opportunities, people can work in in the factory Semtín or Paramo, many people work in public services. In Holice there are two bigger companies –BVelectronics and Junker, and some smaller ones.

18 Where would you like to live in the future?
Examples of answers: In the future I would like to live in the village, because I like nature and I think life in the village is much calmer. In the future I would like to live in a city because there are more cultural and work opportunities.
