11. The Future of Urban Housing
Nowadays, the number of people living in big cities is growing, and living in cities is becoming more and more expensive. Young people cannot afford a decant flat for living.
There is a growing trend of co-living in many countries around the world. Many young people between 18 and 35 share their flat to reduce the bills. For example, the number of 18-to-35-year-olds living with roommates has doubled in the US since 1980.
Consequently, there is an urgent need to create new types of housing to meet the needs of young urban dwellers.
