We consist of about 195 faculty and staff with about 2,200 declared majors

TIPS FOR SUCCESS Quality Rigor Excellence

Mathematics and Your Major How is mathematics used in science and engineering careers? How long will it take to complete a degree if I start in MATH 0015? Quality Rigor Excellence

How Do I Plan My Class Schedule? How often should I get advised? – Be familiar with Degree Works. – Know your advisor. What is a pre-requisite? What is a co-requisite? How long will it take to graduate? Can I take non-ISU classes (summer or web)? How do transfer credits work? – Check what ISU will accept before you take a class. ISU makes decisions once the official transcript is received. Quality Rigor Excellence

Skills for Success 3 hours of study for every hour in class. What can I do now to get the career I want? – Correct degree for career – Research experience – Grades – Internships Perfect Attendance Respectful environment – No Cell phones in class – Treat staff well protocol Student organizations – Clubs in your department. – ISU student groups.
