2 All Students should be enrolled in EGG101 Class and EGG 101 Lab EGG 101 Labs are class specific L01 2:00 - 3:50 Math 126 L02 8:00 – 9:50 Math 126 L04 10:00 – 11:50 Math 127 L05 12:00 – 1:50 Math 127

3 Why am I taking EGG 101? One half of our entering freshman engineering and computer science students are not calculus ready SAT 630 ACT 28 Calculus I is a co-requisite for department orientation classes

4 EGG101 Orientation to Engineering and Computer Science The class is designed to help students 1. Adjust to college 2. Stay connected to COE 3. Develop good study skills 4. Select a major 5. Be successful in college The lab is designed to help students 1.Develop good math study habits 2.Get an “A” in their math class

6 The biggest academic problem most entering freshman engineering and computer science students have is with Math

7 1.Students will be prepared to be successful in math 2. Students will develop effective time management skills 3. Students will develop effective study habits and learning skills 4.
