Xfactory 3.5 Benefits  In addition to its already proven manufacturing product tracking capabilities, Xfactory 3.5 closes the Process Improvement Loop by – Providing a web portal for exposing data collected by Xfactory in a meaningful way for making important business decisions. – Enhancing connectivity to allow interoperability with real-time process data from a wide variety of data sources such as barcode readers and shop floor equipment. – Extending the interconnectivity of the system to other ERP and PLM systems through the PLM/ERP Connector allowing information to be shared with other business systems. – Adding core functionality to the Xfactory engine to allow the simultaneous processing of multiple WIPs and easier access to Xproperties reducing custom code programming and maintenance.  In addition to its already proven manufacturing product tracking capabilities, Xfactory 3.5 closes the Process Improvement Loop by – Providing a web portal for exposing data collected by Xfactory in a meaningful way for making important business decisions.

Xfactory 3.5 Major Components  Xfactory Portal  Connection Builder  Connection Manager  PLM/ERP Connector (ISA S95)  Core Enhancements  Xfactory Portal  Connection Builder  Connection Manager  PLM/ERP Connector (ISA S95)  Core Enhancements

Xfactory Portal  The Xfactory Portal is a Tecnomatix web application built upon Microsoft's Reporting Services that allows users to view, navigate and manage the analysis of critical manufacturing data through individually rendered web-based reports.

Reporting Services Architecture  Reporting Services is a modular, distributed architecture that provides both scalability and flexibility. XfactoryPortal

Xfactory Portal (continued)  Based on Microsoft Reporting Services  User configurable WEB interface  Application groups for specific data analysis  Supports custom analysis using reports built with Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2003  User security  Individual user configuration  Based on Microsoft Reporting Services  User configurable WEB interface  Application groups for specific data analysis  Supports custom analysis using reports built with Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2003  User security  Individual user configuration

Application Groups  Application groups used to categorize analysis into functional areas. – Defects – Equipment – Inventory – Production  Application groups used to categorize analysis into functional areas. – Defects – Equipment – Inventory – Production

 Provides an easy to use framework for managing personalized views of Xfactory information by allowing the user to create linked reports from supplied base application analysis reports with personalized parameters.  Relative and absolute date range support  Linked navigation from one report to another  Simplified user report distribution  Graphical charting and matrices  Provides an easy to use framework for managing personalized views of Xfactory information by allowing the user to create linked reports from supplied base application analysis reports with personalized parameters.  Relative and absolute date range support  Linked navigation from one report to another  Simplified user report distribution  Graphical charting and matrices Xfactory Portal Features

Report Personalization  Once reports have been made available to users, the report parameters can be personalized and saved in user defined folders for viewing.

Report Distribution  Reports can be exposed to users on a report by report basis by linking base reports to user accounts. This enables company sensitive reports to be exposed to only the proper personnel.

Report Types  Charts – Bar, Column, Line, Pie, Scatter, Bubble, Area, Doughnut and Stock  Drillthrough analysis  Charts – Bar, Column, Line, Pie, Scatter, Bubble, Area, Doughnut and Stock  Drillthrough analysis

Shop Floor Interoperability  Connection Builder – New look and feel consistent with the existing Configuration Explorer – Allows configuration of sources and actions  Connection Manager – Uses 3.0 functionality and API – Connection server (or PC) based configuration – Runs as a unattended Windows service –.Net plug-in modules for sources and actions  Connection Builder – New look and feel consistent with the existing Configuration Explorer – Allows configuration of sources and actions  Connection Manager – Uses 3.0 functionality and API – Connection server (or PC) based configuration – Runs as a unattended Windows service –.Net plug-in modules for sources and actions
