Why use LinkedIn  Be independent of time and place  Greater network than in most physical network  Find business deals outside your normal network  Get your message to many people fast

What tool to use on LinkedIn (1) - Recommendation  Recommend your professionel partners  Become recommended by your professionel partners  Search in ”Service providers” to find partners with recommendation

What tool to use on LinkedIn(2) - Question and answers  Publish your own question to get answers  Answers question to become ”the expert”  Add ”search answers application” to get specific question and answers

What tool to use on LinkedIn (3) - Groups  Connect to groups to extend your network  Use groups to become the expert, and to seek advice  Be active in the connected groups  Be aware, that you open for other users to connect to you

What tool to use on LinkedIn (4) - Connection  Connect to business partner you know, or have something to offer  Make your invitation interesting  Only accept invitation from people you know, or want’s to know

What tool to use on LinkedIn (5) - Everything else  Add interests  Update your status on a daily basis  Have minimum 20 connection, otherwise your network isn’t big enough  Use LinkedIn link in your  Export to Outlook if you have to maintain historical data

How to keep up to date  Use RSS reader in Outlook 2007 to get the news from your connections directly in your mailbox
