2 What are groups? LinkedIn Groups provide a place for professionals in the same industry or with similar interests to share content, find answers, post and view jobs, make business contacts, and establish themselves as industry experts.

3 How do you find groups of real estate agents? The LinkedIn search box at the top of every page allows you to search for people, jobs, companies, groups, and more. You can click on any of the search suggestions that appear in the dropdown list as you type, or submit your search to see the full results.

6 Join ALL the groups you can find

7 Most groups are closed groups. They require an admin to approve your request to join. This may take days and in a few cases weeks. You will get a notification Once you are approved, get acquainted. Like others posts, comment when appropriate. DO NOT start out by posting your own content

10 You can also see the complete member list. Because you are in the same group, LinkedIn makes it easy to connect

11 Connect with agents in the group

12 With ongoing engagement, you can become a top contributor. That begins to brand you as an expert and person of influence

13 Once you have engaged and been active in the group for a while, you can begin posting your own content. Be cool about it! Provide value to the agents. To be seen as an influencer, you must provide them with cool stuff for THEM

14 What should you post? 1.Industry Updates (real estate Industry) 2.Funny Stories 3.Local events (especially charity stuff) 4.Marketing Tips 5.Presentation Invitations

15 The more you do this and the more people you connect with, the more often LinkedIn shows YOUR profile to people in their People You May Know section. You will notice a dramatic increase in the number of people requesting to connect with you

16 Continue to add people to Tags and send the in messages. Most people create their LinkedIn profile with a primary email address. Lets export those connections and begin email campaigns. They see you active in the groups they belong to, now you are in their email inbox. You paint the perception that you are every where.

17 Go to your “connections” tab in your dash board and select the settings button

18 Under advanced settings, select export linkedin connections

19 Default is Microsoft Outlook, all types are.csv files. You may need to clean your list up as it exports all of the fields

20 You now have a complete strategy for using LinkedIn to grow your network of referral partners. It is an easy way to get your targets to see you as an expert and influencer.
