Brief Overview of JTF The Junior Theater Festival is a festival for children ages 8-18 held every year in Atlanta, GA at the Cobb Galleria. It is designed for serious minded middle school performers who are committed to working hard and delivering an amazing performance. Organizations from all over the country including parts of Canada attend each year and present a 15 minute condensed version of a Broadway Jr. show under the license of MTI iTheatrics. Theatre of the Stars hosts the event in which they work hand-in-hand with MTI. The weekend festival (Jan 16-18, 2015) includes the show presentation, workshops, guest speakers, awards, a dance party, and a ticket to a Broadway-style performance. All of this is available for the organization presenting their show, the directors, and the parent chaperones.

What is expected of the kids and parents? The 2015 JTF fee will be $225 for each cast member to attend JTF in January, The JTF fee includes: Competition performance at JTF in Atlanta An official festival T-shirt Adjudication and feedback Professional development workshops for directors Performance workshops for students Technical theater workshops for students and teachers Radio Disney Dance Party Broadway Junior Slam Celebrity talk-back with special guests A ticket to see a Broadway-style show Lunch on Saturday and Sunday Show Script

The fee does not include: Transportation All other Meals Lodging Chaperones and Parents We need parent chaperones to come to the festival as well. It is required by the festival to have 1 Chaperone for every 4 students. The cost for parents to attend is $225. We will have discounts for the hotel rooms for JTF. The students/parents would also need to pay the fee for the hotel rooms. There will be four people per room. Because of the cost and commitment of this program students in Musical Theatre will audition for this company once school has started to gain a spot in this special company. There will be morning rehearsals at least 1morning a week at 7AM. And rehearsals in Musical Theatre class as well.

Booster Club We are now currently searching for new members for our booster organization. We are looking for those who want to be members (NO FEE) And those who want to head up committees and serve as officers for the coming year.
