DyKnow Basics DyKnow is software loaded onto your Klein Tablet PC that some teachers choose to use in class. Task 1: Open DyKnow and Sign On Click the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen. Type DyKnow in the search box or open the DyKnow program from the All Programs list just above that box. Teachers offer classes in DyKnow Teachers make specific classes available for you to join in DyKnow if they want you to use the program. They are listed under Offered Classes. Once you sign up for a class, it appears in your Current Classes tab. You can join sessions by clicking Join Session. Join Session DyKnow Basics Slide 3 of 6

Task 2: Submit using DyKnow Notebook Writer Teachers sometimes ask you to submit work through DyKnow that you created in another program. Here’s how to do it: Open the file you want to send through DyKnow (like a Word document). Click File. Click Print. Select DyKnow Notebook Writer as the printer. The print process opens a DyKnow Save In screen as it converts the file to a DyKnow notebook. Save the file in the folder for the class where you will submit it when you are in a live DyKnow session on campus. Note: Screen shot on next slide provides visual for this task.
