2 Hello! This presentation is designed to be used with your students to help them join your class and create unique usernames and passwords. Save this presentation to your hard drive. Just click on File, then Save As…. Choose a folder and save the file. Start PowerPoint and open this presentation to begin editing this presentation. Next, review each slide to make sure it contains the right information for your class. On many slides, I’ve left a note for you. You’ll want to delete all the yellow notes and save this presentation with a new name before using this presentation to help your students join your eService class. ML: Teacher, delete these notes before showing the presentation to the class. Delete this entire slide, too!

3 Joining an eService Class

5 CLASS9026266 Step 2: Enter activation code
On the left side of the screen, enter this Activation code: CLASS ML: Teacher, type in the Class Activation Code above. You can find it by clicking on the My Classes tab and then choosing this class name. It should look something like CLASS When you’re finished, delete this note.

6 Now, we will create usernames and passwords.
Step 3: Register Now, we will create usernames and passwords. Click on the Register button. ML: Teacher, if your students have joined other eService classes and already have usernames and passwords, change this slide to instruct them to sign in with their existing username and password on this screen.

7 Step 3: Personal Information
Type your First Name, Last Name, and Birthday in the appropriate fields. ML: Teacher, if your students signed in with an existing username and password, and don’t need to register, then delete this slide.

8 Step 3: Username & Password
Next, you must think of a Username and Password. Reminders: Your username and password must be at least 6 characters and/or numbers long. It cannot have spaces. Pick something unique – ChrisJ is probably already taken. ML: Teacher: If you want your students to follow a standard, such as school ID’s, use this slide to explain the standard. ML: Teacher, if your students signed in with an existing username and password, and don’t need to register, then delete this slide.

9 Step 3: Re-enter password
Now, enter the exact same password in the Re-enter Password field. ML: Teacher, if your students signed in with an existing username and password, and don’t need to register, then delete this slide.

10 Step 3: Re-enter password
Choose a Secret Question and type an answer in Your Answer field. If you forget your password in the future, the website will ask you this question and you’ll have to answer it correctly to re-set your password. 11 Now, click on the Submit button.
Step 3: Submit Now, click on the Submit button. If someone has already taken your chosen username, you’ll need to pick a different one. If there are any other problems (such as not typing the password the same way), the website will let you know and you’ll need to correct the problem. 12 Step 4: Complete You’re finished!
You’ve joined the class. You should be on your eServices homepage. ML: Teacher, this concludes the presentation of how students join a class. From here, you can instruct them which eService to begin using, if that’s appropriate at this time. Be sure to delete these notes and save the presentation before showing it to your class.
