1 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw1 LiveText at CBU Electronic Portfolios! Create, edit, attach documents, and Share or Send for Review

2 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw2 “Entrance” View Click on the “New Document” button to begin creating a new LiveText document.

3 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw3 Create  Choose a folder, Template, Enter Title This is the next screen you will see and the one you will always use to create a new document. You’ll always need to select a folder and then choose the template directed by your professor. The next screen will display what the “pull down” looks like

4 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw4 Select Folder  ”Portfolios” Under either the Cal Baptist General OR Cal Baptist School of Ed folders, click on the word “Portfolios” (or what ever document type your professors instructs you to use). This will cause all that type document templates to load. The next sceen will show you how to select the correct template.

5 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw5 Select Template  {Bruinius Eng 113*} This is where you select the template your professor told you to choose (*) When you select the template, its format displays here.

6 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw6 Enter Title  Suzy Smith-Eng 113a FA 08 Once the title is entered following the guidance of your professor, click on “Save as New Document”

7 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw7 The New Document opens for your editing and use. Begin to edit any of the sections of your document by clicking on the “Edit” button on any section Notice the task bar tabs. Some of these functions will be explained later The next slide will show you how the page “opens” for editing once you click on the edit button

8 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw8 Section Editor Clicking on “Save Changes” will save them and keep you in “edit mode.” “Save and Finish” will return you to “view” mode  Change Section Title here  Use the tool bar to edit text on this screen  Attach one image per section and up to 10 attachments When you click on the Edit button for Inserted Files you’ll see what’s on the next screen

9 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw9 Attaching a document, 1 If you’ve already uploaded some files they would be listed below. Click on the “Upload New File” button to begin the steps to attach a file (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) to your LiveText document. Once you click there you’ll see what’s on the next slide.

10 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw10 Attaching a document, 2 Click on the Browse button and navigate to where the file is that you want to attach. Click on it and the file name will be displayed. When you are sure that is the correct file, click on “+ Add to Queue” Button and you’ll see what is on the next screen.

11 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw11 Attaching a document, 3 With the file name displayed in the “Queue,” “waiting to Upload,” click on the “Upload Selected File(s) button.” Be patient while the upload processes and you will see what appears on the next slide.

12 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw12 Attaching a document, 4 The successfully uploaded file name will display next to the “Inserted File(s)” You can attachd up to 10 of them, and you can simply click on the Remove button next to a file name to remove it. Clicking on “Save Changes” will return you to the Edit screen to continue editing. Clicking on “Save & Finish” will save your work and return you to “view” mode. This is what you will see on the next slide.

13 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw13 “Sharing” with viewers or editors, 1 Click on the “Share” button and you will see what is on the next screen. Note: This is NOT “for Review” or “grading.” That is a few slides further on

14 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw14 “Sharing” with viewers or editors, 2 You can share for viewing or Editing. Type the name or username of the person you want to share this document with and then click on the “Search” button in either Viewer or Editor box. Once typed in LT will search and display the name or several close matches. Once you choose the name that will display below the box, the next screen will display.

15 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw15 “Sharing” with viewers or editors, 3 With the person’s name displayed, assuming this is who you want to share the document with, click on the “Add to Share button. Remember this can be for viewing or editing depending on which box you chose.

16 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw16 “Sending for Review” (= grading), 1 The steps are almost the same as sharing, IF you want the document to go “..for Review” (grading). The pull- down box you see on the left results from clicking on the “Send for Review Tab.” In the same way as described for “share” in previous slides, enter the username for the professor you want to receive your document “for Review,” and then click on “Search.” The result is on the next slide.

17 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw17 “Sending for Review”, 2 With the correct name displayed following the search, simply click on “Submit” button and your professor will have access to your document through their “Reviews” label for grading.

19 ltz/ng/createAthShrRvw19 The LiveText “Help Center”, 1 You can do some “basics” review/learning, or click on the “For Students” tab for some specific helps. See the results of clicking on “For Students” on the next slide.
