What are we trying to achieve ? Vision That internal auditing is recognised as essential to the success of Organisations ….and that the Institute is regarded as essential to the success of those individuals and organisations involved in internal audit.

Mission Develop the profession to ensure it has the skills, knowledge and expertise to be essential to the success of organisations To promote the role and value of the profession to ensure that it is recognised as Essential to success. To achieve this the Institute must be representative of the profession as a whole and sufficiently well resourced to support its activities

Sector strategy - vision We are developing a sector strategy to help us focus our service delivery and influence activities. Vision Sector-based groups dedicated to serving sectors Sector groups should be volunteer and member-led Make membership more attractive through sector based services Improve member recruitment and retention Facilitate influence and profile activity

Sector services Services could include : Dedicated web area Information and resources Web forums Benchmarking / research Training and events Profiles in Audit & Risk Magazine We will be piloting a model for sector based delivery during 2013/14 More scope to deliver influence for sectors.

Benefits of closer working between the Retail Audit Group and IIA Event content and administration Stronger voice for the profession within the retail sector Stronger voice for retail sector practitioners within the Institute More relevant/tailored services Gaining new members through a more attractive service package
