Paul Revere was famous for being a silversmith and craftsman. This is a picture of a sugar basin he made in his shop. At age 19 he opened up his own shop in Boston, Massachusetts. Not only was he well-known for his crafts work, he was also a skilled engraver. Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride This is a picture of Paul Revere on horseback running through the streets yelling “ The British are coming!” On the night of April , hours before the battles of Lexington and Concord he performed his “Midnight Ride”. Paul’s Later Life Paul Revere died May 10,1818 ( age 83) in Boston, Massachusetts. By 1788 he had opened a foundry which supplied bolts, spikes, and nails for North End ship yards.
