The Parts of a Flower Alexa Rahrle

Now, each part of a flower has it’s own function! Let’s see what each part does!

The petals are colorful and they attract insects! The stigma is sticky to collect pollen! The style keeps the stigma away from the ovary to decrease chances of pollen contamination!

The ovule will become the seed once it’s fertilized! The ovary protects the ovule and will eventually become the fruit!

The sepal protects the flower when it’s developing from being a bud! The filament is the stalk of the anther! The anther contains the pollen that will fertilize a flower!
