The parts of the note that are dictated for this process usually include history of the present illness, physical exam, radiographs, assessment and plan. The other parts of the note are already entered into the EMR either by front office staff, nurse, or the patient themselves in some cases. This process will save the physician time while improving the one-on-one experience with the patient. Not only that, this will lower transcription costs in the range of 20 to 40%.
