Once you have contacted me to set up a new account, your computer needs to be configured to dial into.DevlinEx and use our servers for things like email. This guide will show you, step by step, how to access your DevlinEx account. Initial Setup for DevlinEx internet service
1.Click on the Start button, lower left-hand corner of your screen 2.Click on Run 3.In the box that appears type icwconn1 then press OK 4.The internet connection wizard will load and present you with a few options. Select the option. Setup my internet connection manually. And click next. 5.Select the option connect through a phone line and modem then click next. It will ask you for the phone number to dial and you will find that phone number on the first page of my web site by clicking on New Location. 6.You will now be prompted for your user name and password. Keep in mind that the username is your full email address then click next. 7.Then you will be ask to name the connection and that should be DevlinEx.
Now that the connection is set up, it is time to configure email. You will be asked if you wish to setup an internet mail account. Choose yes and click next. 1.Choose create a new internet mail account and click next. 2.Enter your full name and click next. 3.Enter your email address and click next. 4.For the type of incoming mail server, choose POP. In the incoming mail server type in mail.maildata.net. Then enter the same in the outgoing mail server and click next. 5.Enter your full email address where it ask for account name. Enter your password in the box and check the box labeled save password and click next. Then click finish. 6.When you are done with that a internet account box will be there with your account in it. You will need to highlight your email account and click on properties.
7.Then click on servers and check the box marked my server requires authentication and click OK. 8. Then click the close button in the other window and you are done with setting up your email account.
