Zippy’s Gymnastics Academy welcomes children of all ages to participate in a gymnastics programme based on activities & fun. All activities are set in a safe environment with qualified coaches. Zippy’s Academy offers a wide range of gymnastic programmes from baby gymnastics, girls gymnastics, boys gymnastics, intermediate squad groups and Acro-gymnastics. All long hair must be neatly tied back. Gymnasts Gymnasts must be on time for the warm up. No jewellery or facial piercings allowed, No studs in the ears. If children must wear these, as they have just had them recently pierced, you MUST put tape over them. Have a good time! PAGE 7 Pre - school / Toddlers Programme Our unique programme focuses on the all-round development of the child in a structured, fun and safe way. Physical activity is mixed with role play, games, drama, music, rhymes, and story telling, incorporating aspects of the Pre-School Curriculum to encourage the child's physical, intellectual, emotional, social and communication skills. Fun for baby – 8 weeks to walking Classes for babies in the age group – 8 weeks to walking, these are classes of 30 minutes. These are led by qualified coaches. As well as providing a great socialising and bonding opportunity between parent and baby the sessions also focus on the all-round development of the child through fun activities including baby sensory development, baby yoga and baby massage. Zippy’s Tiny Totz 1-2 Year Old For our toddler members. These classes are designed for toddlers giving them their first taste of physical activities supported by parents/carers. Improves bonding between child and parents through exercise and play. Classes last 45 minutes. Zippy’s Totz 2-3 Years Old Children and parents experience physical, mental, emotional and social development. The children are encouraged to crawl, jump, climb, roll, slide and balance. The classes are also a great way to introduce children to patience, sharing and taking turns whilst having fun. Zippy’s Super heroes 3-5 Years Old Children participate on their own and the classes focus on the child's new found sense of independence and introduces age appropriate physical challenges. The children progress in basic movement skills, gymnastic skills, ball handling, agility, hand-eye co-ordination and self discipline. PAGE 2

Recreational Programme The Girls Gymnastics Club At Zippy’s we have recreational classes four days a week for girls covering a range of ages and abilities. Recreational classes are fun, stimulating and challenging. Classes last an hour and provide a good basis for other sporting activities by increasing fitness, strength and coordination as well as having fun. Basic skills are taught and the children work towards the Scottish Gymnastics Association badges. The girls use lots of apparatus including the air track, vault, bar and full height beam. The Boys Gymnastics Club Boys from the age of 5 and upwards. The classes cater for a wide range of abilities and provide a good basis for other sporting activities by increasing fitness, strength and coordination as well as having fun. Basic skills are taught and the children work towards the Scottish Gymnastics Association Badges. The boys use lots of apparatus including the air track, vault, rings and mushroom. Acro gymnastics (New) Acro is performed by girls and boys in pairs, trios and groups. This type of gymnastics encourages teamwork and develops both the physical attributes of strength, flexibility and agility as well as performing basic skills with good technique. They also have an opportunity to participate in beginner competitions. From August 2011 these classes will run on Wednesday evenings between 6-7 pm and 7-8pm. Additional Sunday classes may be opened later in the year. PAGE 3 CLUB RULES All fees must be paid on time. Failure to pay fees may result in the loss of the child’s space in a class. Please ensure your child arrives at the gym on time for the warm up. All children MUST be collected by a parent/carer/responsible adult at the end of the class. No child will be permitted to enter the car park without a parent/carer. This is to ensure the safety of all children. Parents of school age children are not permitted in the changing room area or gym. If you require to speak with a coach please contact the reception staff. School age children should bring drinking water. No juice please. No food allowed in the gym. Children must not eat or chew during the training sessions. No footwear allowed on the mats or apparatus. Children MUST listen to coaches and be aware of the movement of other gymnasts. No climbing on apparatus until instructed to do so by a coach. Children must inform their coach before leaving the gym. Parents Parents must make the coach aware of any injuries or illness a child may be suffering from. This must be done before the gymnast commences the warm up. All children must wear appropriate clothing. Club Leotards are available for girls and boys. PAGE 6

Girls Squad 2 hours a week Girls with potential are chosen to attend the squad. The children acquire wider technical skills through progressions as well as a conditioning programme which helps develop core strength. They also have the opportunity to participate in beginners competitions. Boys Squad 2-4 hours a week Boys with potential are chosen to attend this section. The boys. Mini - Squad age 5-6 years Younger girls with potential coming from our Pre-School to Recreational classes are invited to the “minis”. The one and a half hour session for this group allows the development of a conditioning programme which develops core strength and flexibility in preparation for tackling more advanced technical skills. Acrobatics squad Girls or Boys with potential are chosen to attend the squad. The children acquire wider technical skills through progressions as well as a conditioning programme which helps develop core strength. They also have the opportunity to participate in competitions. PAGE 4 CLUB FEES & MAKE UP POLICY Fees should be paid on the 1st of each month by standing order, cash or cheque. If you choose to pay by cash or cheque you will pay in blocks of two months and fees are due the week preceding the 1 st of the new month. Standing orders stop in June for the Summer. Cash and Cheque payments that are overdue may be subject to a late fee of £5 charged at the Club’s discretion. Late enrolments - students may register at any time if a space is available. Classes must be paid in advance at the beginning of each month. If a child is absent for more than 2 weeks and hasn’t paid fees, his/her name will be removed from the list and the place will be given to next person on the waiting list. Trial classes cost £5 Pre-school / £6.00 Recreational and should be paid at the beginning of the class. Make up policy. We are open throughout the year including many school holidays (please refer to Club Yearly Planner pg. for up to date information relating to specific school holidays). We offer make up classes for those who miss their regular class. Please call ahead of time before attending. Fees STANDING ORDER – DUE ON THE 1 ST OF EACH MONTH Pre-School Fees: £19.50 paid over 10 months (Sept- June) Recreational Fees: £23.40 paid over 10 months (Sept- June) The above fees take account of the October, Christmas and Easter School holidays. Please remember to cancel/suspend your standing order in June. CASH / CHEQUE – DUE IN BLOCKS OF TWO MONTHS PAYABLE IN THE WEEK PRECEDING THE MONTH IN WHICH BLOCK COMMENCES Pre- School Fees: £22 per calendar month Recreational Fees: £25 per calendar month Adjustments will be made at the time of payment for October, Christmas and Easter School Holiday Girls Squad 2 hours a week - £42 per calendar month. (s/o £40) Boys Squad 2-4 hours a week- £42 or £55 per calendar month.(s/o £40 or £53) Mini - Squad age 5-6 years- £32 per calendar month. (s/o £30) PAGE 5
