Academic Expectations

Classwork and Homework O Complete all assignments to the best of your ability! O Homework must be written in your student handbook. O Any classwork not completed in class must be written in your hand book to be completed at home and returned the next day.

Late Assignments O It is never too late to turn in an assignment. O However, late assignments may be subject to a grade penalty – especially if we have already gone over the assignment in class. O The amount in the grade reduction will depend on many factors...

Unacceptable Assignments O No credit will be given for plagiarized work. O If you share answers with a classmate, you will also share the grade. O An assignment may be returned to be redone if: O You did not follow directions O You did not complete the assignment O You clearly rushed just to get it done

Binder O You are required to keep an organized binder as it will be a valuable study tool. O Binders must be brought to every class (see class preparation requirements) (see class preparation requirements) O Random binder checks may occur at anytime and will count as a quiz grade.

Improving Low Scores O You will have an opportunity to improve low scores on any assignment (including tests) by making corrections once the assignment is returned. O For tests, you will also have the option to take the test over again.

Participation/Preparation

To earn the full 25 points you must: O Be in this room when the bell rings with a pen or pencil, handbook, binder, textbook, and HW ready; O Write any HW in your student handbook and begin “do now” without prompting; O Be attentive and willing to participate for the duration of the class.
