High School Student Expectations Upon any absence, it is the STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY to meet with the teacher to discuss what was missed and how it could be made up Attend school: Please review attendance policy! Be there for your instructional minutes Prepare for ALL tests! Exams make a large portion of students’ grades– don’t make your study plan a “cram plan” Be an active learner and participant in class!

Challenge Yourself!! Recommended curriculum by the Ohio Board of Regents for College Bound students Minimum 16 Core Courses: 4 units of English 4 units of Math 3 units of Science 3 units of Social Studies 2 units of the same Foreign Language 1 unit of Visual and Performing Arts (FYI, graduation minimum is same except for last 2 above, plus,.5 health and 2,.25 PE [or PE waiver])

Know Where You Stand Every semester, check that you have at least 5 fully credited courses (hint: count each class except PE) Eligibility is established the quarter immediately preceding the activity Don’t assume you don’t need to be eligible– you never know what you may become interested in!
