Support for New Starters at the College Induction - including Teaching Essentials 2 day course for our new academic staff Mentor Program – “an experienced and trusted adviser” to provide additional support during your career with us Your Probationary Period -First 12 months of employment -Meet with manager at 3, 6 and 9 months to review progress -Contract of less than 12 months – process still applies, should provide useful feedback for you on your progress and identify any training needs -Ensure meetings are arranged with your manager

Benefits of working for the College… Generous annual leave entitlements: -Corporate (support) staff – 30 days per year -Academic staff – 42 days per year, 4 unbroken weeks’ leave in Summer period -Holiday year runs from 1 st September – 31 st August -Annual leave entitlement pro-rata for part time staff -Different arrangements for our “Bank” staff, or those on part time, fixed term contracts – paid holidays -Annual leave to be booked in advance with your manager using your leave card -Carry over – 5 days or one working week for part time staff
