Christmas Cookies By Brieya Pottinger

Ingredients and equipment.  Butter:75g  Sugar:35g  Flour:150g  Water: a tbsp  Weighing scales  A bowl  Spoon  rolling pin  Tray  Cooling rack: optional  Spatula  Cutter

Step 1-Wieghing the ingredients.  The first thing that I done is gathered all of my ingredients together to make sure that they where all in front of me when I first when to start my cookies.  What I had done is weighed out each ingredient and put them into one bowl then started to mix it till it turned into a crumby type of texture(try to make it resemble brad crumbs).  Then I added the table spoon of water and mixed it together with a spoon till it became into dough.

Step 2- rolling out the dough  Once you get that doughy substance I took it out of the bowl and kneaded it.  When you’ve got the right thickness roll it out to about 1cm thick and that is this step finished. Tip –sprinkle flour on the table and on your hands that way it doesn’t stick.

Step 3-how long to leave In the oven  You use the cutter at this point using any shape or size in the matter.  After you’ve done that you put it in the oven for 15mins at 200*degrees until it turns golden brown. Once it’s reached that point you take it out and use the spatula put them on a cooling rack.

Step 4-making the icing.  Now that we have made the cookies while they are cooling we should make the icing. Now the way we do this is by getting a bowl and pouring in 35g of icing surgar then keep adding water unitl the consistancy isnt to soggy or to thick it should just slide elegantly of the spoon.

Step 4-finally decorating.  This is the last step(with the exception of eating) decorating the cookies to fit the holiday season.
