Student Job Centre 2012 Distinguishing Qualities Employers want workers who can: Demonstrate excellence in all they do Be disciplined, self-directed, and capable of working independently Approach each project, customer, and sale with enthusiasm Set goals and strive to meet them Efficiently pursue multiple priorities at the same time Bring their best to the workplace every day Bounce back after rejection Take setbacks in stride Analyze their own performance and the performance of others Solve problems and embrace challenges Retain a fresh and constant willingness to learn and acquire new skills Listen to supervisors, colleagues, and customers
