Bacs scheme requires an entity to obtain a Service User Number (SUN) from a sponsoring provider or Bank in order to utilise Direct Debits/Direct Credits UK Banks issue SUN’s at their own discretion taking into account the financial stability, banking relationship, credit history and turnover of a business. Even with sponsorship in to the scheme, in-house processing can be administratively and financially demanding. Banks/Accounting solutions lack “value add” such as API, On line sign up, Direct Debit Management Solution FCC provide FM (Facilities Management) sponsorship in the place of a bank or work as a Bureau utilising the clients own SUN.
