We Are Welcome Feedback TO young people

Well done Lauren, Millie, Rose, Jess, Bradley, Conner, Callum, Michael and Ryan And your support staff! Our guests were extremely impressed with the work that you presented and all of your ideas They are all really excited and want to start working on your ideas ASAP.

What happened after you left… There were people from a number of different services that work with children AND adults Most of the adults stayed and discussed the things that you found out during the visits They focussed on TWO of the points that you made Information and ‘Where do I go after 16’

Information 1.We will work to get Photos and pictures on Appointment letters and information 2.Derek and Fiona are going to work extra hard to make all of the changes to the hospital website 3.The Adolescent Unit is now going to change to the ‘Young Peoples unit’ thanks to you! 4.More High furlong students are helping make a video for young people about hospital, this will be on the internet and each school will have a copy.

Where do I go after 16 This topic is a little bit harder to change straight away The adults from the session are going to think hard about how to answer this question They will do lots of work to make sure that it’s easier to get the right support if you need extra help in hospital past 16.

Other actions 1.All of the adults agreed that we should do more work like this project with children and young people 2.Cath and Rachel from Bloomfield and Mount view GP’s said they would work together to get the same sort of Annual review and encourage other GP’s to do the same. 3.They are also going to make a picture board of all the Doctors who work at their surgeries 4.Miss Martin has been asked if you can run some disability awareness sessions with a group of receptionists.
