2. Cover Letter This year in science I have learned about many things. We learned a ton of important information about cells. Here a few topics relating to cells that I learned a lot about: Diffusion and Osmosis Active and Passive transport DNA and RNA The structure of the cell and what everything does The difference between plant and animal cells My favorite part of science is getting to do experiments to get a better understanding of what we are discussing. Being able to look at a cell or make a DNA strand helps me to test my understanding and get to look a little deeper into what we are talking about. My least favorite part of science is when we watch videos. Videos do not help me learn anything and I hate wasting my time watching them. I can’t get an understanding of what the video is talking about. They usually go too fast and have too much going on. I need to write notes to be able to understand it better but it usually moves too fast for me to write anything down. That’s why in science I really don’t like watching videos.

3. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) Rate yourself on your ability to complete all the assignments for class. Why? On a scale of 1-5, I rate myself a 5 for completing all the assignments for class. I always do my work and get it turned in. When I am absent I go and get any work I need right away. To make sure I get work completed, I always use my planner. This helps me not to forget any work that is due. I make sure that I get everything turned in because it’s important to me.

4. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) rate yourself on your class time effort and positive contributions to class discussions. Why? On a scale of 1-5 I rate myself a 4 or a 5 depending on the day. I always try hard and put in effort during class. When there is a discussion and I have something to say I will say it. I don’t usually have any questions so I don’t always have much to say, but if I do I will say it or maybe discuss it with the people around me.

5. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) rate yourself on your ability to work with others in class. Why? I rate myself a five when it comes to working with others. When I am working with a group, I make sure the work is spread out equally amongst everyone. I give ideas and put effort into getting the work done. I like working with others because it helps me to understand things better when they give their ideas that I might not have thought of.

6. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) describe items you want to improve upon for next quarter/year. Why? I rate myself a 5 for improvements because I don’t have too many. I have improved over many years and I am finally almost where I want to be. For next quarter I’d like to improve on studying a little bit more for tests and I want to keep working on my work and always getting the answers right. If I can I would like to try to challenge myself a little bit more next quarter on things.

7. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) describe what went well in this school year? Why? I rate myself a 5 because lots of things went good this school year. I got good overall grades on the last two quarters and I’d like to keep that going. I got my work done and turned in. This school year seemed calmer because I am more responsible than I was last year. I have been trying harder and doing a good job at it.
