1 Making Every Contact Count
The 1.5 hours training has really led to bigger projects for Leading Lives Leading Lives, Sudbury - delivered MECC to all staff in August 2016, one of the first MECC training sessions to be delivered. The session involved 16 staff members ranging from support staff to managers. At the session staff raised concerns about their clients as they felt there was a need to educate and help their clients improve their lifestyle choices. As result of this Sarah on the Adult Weight Management team set up learning disability weight management group which gained really positive feedback. REPLACE PICTURE: RIGHT CLICK > CHANGE PICTURE The MECC training is really driving some work with partners in GP surgeries, hospitals, voluntary groups as well as the integrated neighbourhood teams.

2 Healthier Hospitals Plan
Making Every Contact Count The 1.5 hours training is part of a Healthier Hospitals Plan for West Suffolk Hospital Healthier Hospitals Plan West Suffolk Hospital Junior Doctors at West Suffolk Hospital 23 junior doctors took part in the training on 20th April 2017. Some of the feedback is below… ‘Really useful to be aware of local community services, I did not know these existed’ ‘Useful recap of Motivational Interviewing’ ‘I had very similar training at med school but it was a good refresher.’ The organisations fed back that it’s really useful to talk about how to talk to patients and service users about lifestyle topics.
