Unit Introduction What’s great about where you live? Why is your city so special? What do you think would make someone want to come and live there? In this unit you are going to create a presentation to entice people to come and live in Exeter. You will need to think about what information and pictures you are going to include (and what NOT to include!) to appeal to your target audience. Show Me Back

Unit Objectives We Are learning To (WALT) Create a presentation that includes both text and images. Use a mapping application to find maps and take screenshots. Add suitable sounds to the presentation. Understand the term ‘fitness for purpose’ Recognise the good and bad points of presentations and make suggestions for improvements. Slide Master You can use a slide master to make your presentation consistent by setting your fonts and colour scheme. You can also add any images you want to appear on every slide. In PowerPoint go to: View > Master > Slide Master Go to your presentations and edit your slide master so your presentation is consistent. (10 mins)

Homework Complete Presentation Design Homework – Where I live. You need to sketch what each slide will look like. (What images will you have and where will they go) You need to write the text you will include on each slide to the right of the sketches. Due in next lesson.
