Resumé Template on-line that you can type in. Must be my way. Must be up-to-date (Gr 10, 11, 12) Must include all sections Sell yourself.

Separate Reference Page References will be provided at the interview at the bottom of page 1 Reference page heading matches the Resumé page 1 Three types of references (try to have a variety of) –School – teacher, coach, in area of interest –Job – supervisor of Wk/Vol. experience –Personal – known you for 5 years or more.

Resumé and Reference Page On Tuesday, December 14 I will be in the foyer at lunch to collect your resumé and reference page. If you have them done before that, please bring it to me in 1013, and I will mark it for you. In January, listen for an announcement to pick up your marked resumé and reference page.

Cover Letter Find an example on website Follow the plan including spacing, etc. Why? To give with Resumé when boss is not there to interview you or accept your resume -- it is like a letter of introduction. Must be perfect – Spelling and grammar. Get an adult to proofread it.

Completed Budget If you have not already done this, get it done! Use the budget worksheet in your booklet. It is also available on the website if you want a digital copy. Fill out the budget as if you must pay the expenses. You can choose to live at home or elsewhere. It still costs. Costs need to be real. Ask Mrs. Dhanoa about costs of education plans. Ask parents about costs of living plans. Budget probably won’t balance. Where will you put the extra money you have or where will you earn the extra money you need? Be REAL. You need to know!

Before You Hand In Your Binder: Booklet Page 12 must have 3 signatures. Make sure you have everything done to the best of your abilities. This booklet/binder and inserts/ is your BRAG BOOK. Make your binder look impressive!

Keep on working Use the resources…..on-line The booklet is now yours to complete. See you in the foyer on December 14, 2010 and February 15, 2011.
